Help!

People will travel miles, even cross seas, for a special prayer of a believer. But check this out:

If you love God, and show this by keeping his commandments, then Jesus, himself, will pray for you!

John 14:15-18 NKJV

[15] "If you love Me, keep My commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- [17] the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. [18] I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Yeshua the Messiah, knows what he has come to do. He must be crucified and leave on the clouds, promising that he will return the same way. He has come to pay the penalty of sin and take away the wages of sin, which is death. But there is more. He has a very special gift for all who believe what he says. He tells them here of his plan to place his Spirit, which inside him, was at that time therefore with them, inside of them also. He will have to leave for that to happen. He will go to the Father and then tells them to wait for the spirit to come. What spirit? The spirit of the Father and the Son. This is not some kind of dualistic God. They are one. The Spirit that kept the law to give us the gift of His righteousness, the very nature of God inside everyone who believes. He is revealing the impact of what his death and resurrection will bring, yet he precedes this with a statement that makes no sense to the deceived. Those who speak of his commandments, as though they are irrelevant to life in the spirit, when in fact they are a pre-requisite. It was not possible before. But now it is.

And how do we keep these commands, if before they were impossible and lead only to death. By faith, and by the spirit of course. How else can we please him? Keeping his commandments, by faith, is appropriating what he came to do. Destroy the power of sin and give us life in all it’s fullness. It is sin that destroys and corrupts. Therefore he came to overcome sin that we may have life.

Is this a dead works gospel? On the contrary.

Faith in the finished work of Yahshua, is what makes what was impossible under the old covenant possible in the new, which many like to call a renewed covenant. And while there may be truth in that, a new wineskin is required for new wine, as “Jesus” said. I like how the prophet YerimiYahu put it.

Jeremiah 31:33 NKJV

[33] But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Now I know there are those who will say: "Are you perfect?" "Do you never sin?" These are usually the same people that shout the loudest that we must all say we are the righteousness of God in Christ. Which of course we are. So I will make it abundantly clear. Yahshua is coming for a bride "without spot or blemish". She will be 'dressed in white garments", which scripture says are the "RIGHTEOUS ACTS OF THE SAINTS". So doing something is mandatory. But our righteous acts are not of our own selves, it is the life of God within us. We PRACTICE righteousness, and do works that he prepared for us to do, as the scripture teaches us. And as John says: If we should fail, we should confess our sins for we have an advocate with the father, Jesus the righteous, who will speak to the father on our behalf and we will not have to pay the penalty. That is the good news of the new covenant in His blood. The gospel was, and never will be, Jesus finished the work, so you can continue in your sin.

So let us abide in him, continue in his word, know the truth and be set free.

Now listen to and watch Aaron Shust sing about the hope we share and be blessed.
