A verse for your day 22 May 2020

Isaiah 55:6 WEB

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. Are you thirsty enough to come, or will you need to really thirst and hunger, before you will cry out to God. For that day will surely come. And will you wait, God forbid, until it is too late and He is nowhere to be found. Yes, even in this very verse, God has warned of such a day!

2 Thessalonians 2:7-9 WEB

For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way. [8] Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming; [9] even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Who do you think is and has been restraining such a day? And if He is gone, then how will you seek Him in that day. So I beg you. Hear him today, while you still can...

Isaiah 55:1-3,12 WEB

“Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. [2] Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in richness. [3] Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. [12] For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.

PRAY Our Father, full of mercy and compassion. We come to you today, and we cry out to you to give us wisdom and understanding, that we may seek you will you are still able to be found. Thank you for you promise of your everlasting covenant and that we shall go out with joy and be led out with peace. Draw us by your Spirit, as the Shulamite of the Song of Songs cries out. Then we will find rest for our souls in the full light of your day, and the winter will be over and the time of singing will come.
