I Love God's Law - 2
Some musical instruments are played with just two sticks.
There are other sweet things we can do with them too.
When you see them, let this post come back to you.
I love God's Law, the Torah, because it teaches many things that are pertinent to our days, yet only few are exposed to these in traditional church meetings.
Did you know that God speaks of two sticks in the Bible?
If so, do you know what they refer to? If not, if you are a regular church goer, you should really ask yourself: "Why not?"
16 “And you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it, ‘For Yehuḏah and for the children of Yisra’ĕl, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Yosĕph, the stick of Ephrayim, and for all the house of Yisra’ĕl, his companions.’ 17 “Then bring them together for yourself into one stick, and they shall become one in your hand.18 “And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’ 19 say to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am taking the stick of Yosĕph, which is in the hand of Ephrayim, and the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, his companions. And I shall give them unto him, with the stick of Yehuḏah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand.” ’20 “And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes.21 “And speak to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am taking the children of Yisra’ĕl from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and shall gather them from all around, and I shall bring them into their land. 22 “And I shall make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yisra’ĕl. And one sovereign shall be sovereign over them all, and let them no longer be two nations, and let them no longer be divided into two reigns.
The English Standard Versions says: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms.
What does this mean?
The bible teaches that Israel was split into a Northern and a Southern Kingdom. Essentially 10 tribes in the North often referred to as Israel and Two tribes in the South. The southern kingdom was known as the HOUSE OF JUDAH (YEHUDAH ) . (This is where the name JEWS or Yahoos comes from. Yah being short for Yahweh the name of God.)
From H3034; celebrated; Jehudah (or Judah), the name of five Israelites; also of the tribe descended from the first, and of its territory: - Judah
A primitive root; used only as denominative from H3027; literally to use (that is, hold out) the hand; physically to throw (a stone, an arrow) at or away; especially to revere or worship (with extended hands); intensively to bemoan (by wh is ringing the hands): - cast (out), (make) confess (-ion), praise, shoot, (give) thank (-ful, -s, -sgiving).
Total KJV occurrences: 114
God divorced the northern Kingdom of 10 tribes for her sins and scattered them among the gentile nations. (That could even include you, who would not know because you were divorced and lost your identity completely!) The House of Judah, he did not divorce but said for her sins he would not leave her unpunished, but she would be brought back to the land. This has already happened.
According to the above Ezekiel 37 chapter however, some time in the latter days, this joining of the sticks will take place. Maybe soon. Will you be expecting and ready for that? Israel, both Northern and Southern Kingdoms, will again become one kingdom under one rule. This is why Ephesians says: We are adopted into the COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL. God is a covenant keeping God. His promise of covenant was to Abraham and Isaac and Jacob (Israel). When Yah in Yahshua died, he made it possible to keep Torah and re-marry the tribes He divorced. Is that not amazing. (See Romans Ch7 also in a new light from now on!)
So for me, one day, we who believe are all going home.
