Many died in the wilderness, instead of entering the promised land. This, we are taught in Hebrews, was because of their unbelief. It reveals also that this unbelief related or resulted in their disobedience. So God said to them, "you will never enter my rest".

Much preaching today, offers rest, but is unable to deliver on the promise, because the teachers do not teach the whole council of God. Instead they only half the gospel is taught, which often leads to lawlessness and great hurt for God's people. Many, considering themselves rich, could end up buried under the desert sand, instead of entering the promised land.

The Choice of Life and Death

Notice, how many times in this scripture it refers to actually doing it. (i.e. this commandment that I command you today.) God never changed his mind about us doing his commandment. He only made a new covenant to make it easier for us to actually do it. Now, we have The Word, that Christ came to fulfill, written on our hearts, by His spirit. He, the Spirit of Yeshua and the Father, comes to dwell in us, when we believe. This helps us, in keeping his word, which is also keeping his commandments, for His Spirit fights against our flesh, so that we do not just do what our flesh may want to. He, is in us "both to will and to do His good pleasure." HalleluYah. This brings great blessing, as we obey God. We overcome the world, even by our faith, believing unto righteousness. This righteousness, is not just a positional righteousness. It is actually walking in the light, as he is in the light. The righteous acts of the saints.

It clearly states that we should be holy and without blame. Even Yashua taught : "You must be perfect even as your heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48) -

To be Holy means to be separated to God and to his ways and commandments. Holy perfection is not optional. It is something 1 John teaches us to "practice". Whenever we fail, we are to get up and practice again. Nor is it attainable for fallen man. That is why Yahshua had to die for us, so that we could have His spirit live inside us the moment we believe. And what will his spirit do.

So the spirit convicts us : FIRSTLY OF SIN We need to believe in our Saviour, or we will remain in our sin. There is no other name given under heaven by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12) He forgives sin and the moment he does, blessing comes, like the man whom he forgave and then told, "take up your bed and walk." The moment he cleanses us, we too can get up and walk in the light again as he is in the light. What liberty that is. Something to make you leap and shout. This is instant righteousness on repentance / confession of sin : (1 John 1 - Please read the chapter)

How does this relate to Him going to the Father and the disciples seeing him no longer?

He goes to sit at the right hand of the Father until all his enemies are put under his feet. The result of righteousness is the right to sit in heavenly places and rule with God, (Israel - Strong's concordance : "He will rule with God) This one will have sure hope of victory over all enemies. This is not just about positional righteousness, true as that is. For the moment we confess, it is true that he is faithful and just and we are cleansed from all our unrighteousness. But it goes further than that. It is about then walking in the light as he is in the light. Being perfect as he is perfect. Not keeping his commands, is not righteousness. It is needing to confess again. It is lawlessness. There is no ruling with God here, only a fearful prospect of judgment. Positional righteousness, without subsequent walking in the light, is certainly not the whole truth. And if it is not the whole truth, is it not, as in court, also seen as a lie! It is not the true gospel. It is not "teaching them to obey all I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:20) It is not adoption into the commonwealth of Israel, which is why ruling and reigning is often just talk.

Satan, the ruler of this world has been judged. His fate is sealed and so all who align themselves with him will receive the same judgement. (Matthew 25:41) 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

So, why are teachers leading many astray, saying that God loves all unconditionally and that righteousness is without repentance. The change of mind or metamorphosis that God requires, is that we get up and keep the commandments, not sin that grace may abound! When we learn this, blessing will overtake us and the commonwealth of Israel will be the nation that once again, defeats all her enemies. For God will be with us and he will bless our obedience, in the anointed Messiah, Yahshua Hamashiach. Come soon. Yahshua.
