Verse for your day 20 May 2020

I hope in this 20th day of the 5th Month of May in 2020, you can get 2020 vision of this. For it will change your life.

VERSE Hebrews 4:11 ESV

Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. Hebrews 4:11 ESV MEDITATION Wow. Yesterday, I spoke about resting your hope fully upon the grace... Now this may seem to be a contradiction, that I should now suggest, as does Paul, that we STRIVE to enter His rest, so that we do not fall into DISOBEDIENCE. But the two go hand in hand, like two sides of a coin. The disobedience Paul speaks about here, concerns the generation that died in the wilderness, failing to enter the promised land, because they did not mix the word they heard with faith. Many years ago, when questioning our Father about this verse, he revealed it like this. When a hang-glider gets ready to fly, there is work involved. He must get his kite to the top of a mountain and assemble it and expend energy, with a final effort as he launches himself and his kite off the edge. This is really a leap of faith at that point, isn't it? But that is it. The effort is over and the ride of rest and reward begins. So it is, with the word of God. If you will make the effort to read enough of it, it will inspire faith and obedience, which has great rewards. This is also how I believe the bride has enough oil at the end to be ready and not like a foolish virgin. In fact all the promises of God are yes and amen, in our saviour, but we will not enjoy the rewards of these promises, until we make the effort to seek Him and get to know Him, through prayerful study of His word. Then His promises will become our portion. No amounts of church sermons can do this us. They can only inspire us to seek him ourselves. So today, if you hear HIs voice, do not despise it. PRAY Father, our father, how wonderful are are all your ways. Your word instructs us clearly to study your word to show ourselves approved, which is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of our hearts. Nothing is hidden from your sight. We are naked before you and will give account to you. Open our eyes and help us today, as we desire to make a determined decision to seek you more diligently through the study of your word. Help us to enter your rest, and not fail to find it, as we also find the obedience of faith, so we will walk in your ways. Let us hear Paul's earnest cry, at the beginning of this chapter 4 in verse 1: "Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it". Then we will find rivers instead of death in the wilderness, as those did, who did not mix the word they heard with faith.

SONG: I encourage you to listen to the opening Track 1, which is a short and hopefully powerful spoken word, that was narrated for this multi-media play and presentation, by well known South African actor, Echard Rabie. Track 2, is a short victorious instrumental introduction. This then flows into the opening song, track 3, from Psalm 45, a powerful message to the bride of Christ, who is of course linked to Yeshua himself, the focus of the Psalm. I hope they will somehow tie together and impart expectation in you and encourage you who seek humility and righteousness.
