Verse for your day 25 May 2020

Psalm 37:7-8 NKJV

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. [8] Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. This psalm of david speaks of the heritage of the righteous and the calamity of the wicked. It is just a matter of time for the one to prosper, while judgement comes to the other.

LET'S PRAY Help us Father, to understand that you are a God of justice. We should not fret, even when evil prospers, for in the end your justice will prevail. And in the meantime, we can have confidence, as even in this psalm, David also reminds us that he has never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. While you judge the wicked, even in difficult times, you take care of the righteous. Help us Father, as we determine to practice your righteousness, to cease from anger and fret, which only causes harm, knowing that as we patiently wait for your justice, it will come and you will carry us in the difficult times.
