Verse for Your Day 26 May 2020

Psalm 92:7 NKJV

[7] When the wicked spring up like grass, And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, It is that they may be destroyed forever.

What is your enemy today and what is your fear for tomorrow? Consider this.

At the very beginning of Psalm 92 you will read: "A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath Day." The sabbath is a day of rest and it also speaks of the 7th day, which for our God is like a thousand years of rest: The Millennium Reign of Messiah, which I believe is around the corner.

This Psalmist is reminding us that in a day of trouble, where our enemies seem to flourish, their season will be short and contrasts their season in the sun with that of the righteous, of whom he says they "will flourish like a palm tree." "They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that YHWH is upright; He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him." (Ps92:14-15)

PRAYER Father help us to understand. You are righteous altogether. And when the wicked rise up, they do so against You and those who are in You, those who, according this Psalm "declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night." Help us to walk in your ways, Father, so that we will fear no enemy, because "You, YHWH, are on High forevermore" and "Your enemies shall perish;" and "the workers of iniquity scattered". "But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. My eyes also has seen my desire on my enemies; My ears hear my desire on the wicked who rise up against me. (Ps 92:10-11). Help us father, for Yeshua is our righteousness and sanctification, and so by faith we have and do receive Him, that we by HIs gift of faith may live in safely, in the uprightness, purity and pirification, that only His Spirit can give. We recognise that our security is to be clothed In Him.
