Verse of the day - 4 May 2020
Paul had a thorn in the flesh, and for him it was a good thing!
2 Corinthians 12:6,9-10 NKJV And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
At this time, you may be overwhelmed and feel trapped with no way out. You cry to God, but cannot find relief. Why not try Pauls way. Start thanking God, that while you are in a state of weakness, He is strong. This could alter the season you are in, and turn it into a blessing. God is always able to turn a bitter thing into a blessing. Consider Ruth. Her husband dies. She makes a choice to leave all she is comfortable with. She is blessed by a kinsman redeemer. "In everything give thanks" and wait on Him. In due season, surely you will sour like an eagle.
Why not pray this prayer based on David's Psalm 61 ...
