Verse of the day - Special Edition 10 May 2020
This is a special edition, because, it is posted only to you, who call yourselves my friends, most of whom I trust are believers. It is not for a public, who may even hate the God I love, and it is not because I want to exclude them, but because it contains a personal song of intimacy, that only true believers would appreciate, and not trample under foot.
Hebrews 10:19-22 NKJV
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
The presence of our father and saviour, is probably experienced differently by all of us and I hope to hear from you, what your intimate experience is, for the days grow critical to hear Him well.
The scripture speaks also of drawing near to listen, rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools. So the song below represents my constant cry in the secret place, as I sit upon the mercy seat. I want to hear Him speak to me. Sometimes this speaking comes through the pure water of the written word, but there are times that I truly believe I hear him, who was the Word made flesh. I hear the true voice of my father and saviour, who is the pure water of the word, that he who drinks need never thirst again, is waiting for you and me to expectantly draw near, mostly to listen, because the veil is torn and the new and living way has been created. And these two, the written word and living rehma word, that we believe we hear, will never contradict each other.
But there is always that element of faith involved, isn't there? Sometimes the evidence of whether we heard or not, only comes later! That is why we cannot make major decisions, without more witnesses. The peace in your heart, the confirmation of the word and the counsellors, like a pastors, or fellow believers, whom you know love Him and listen, must play a part in your final major decisions. I learned that through bitter experience. Let me know your thoughts. I would so appreciate that.
