WILL YOU HEAR THE TRUMPET?
Today is the Feast of Trumpets, a special Holy Convocation, where blowing of trumpets is commanded, specifically TWO SILVER TRUMPETS, which we will talk about later and why all of this is important for us today.
This feast is perhaps better understood in these latter days by Christians than by Jews , because of the added revelations derived both from the book of Revelations, Yeshua's own words in Matthew 24 and the writings of Paul.
1 Corinthians 15:52 NKJV
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 NKJV
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Revelation 10:7 - Amplified Bible
but when it is time for the trumpet call of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God [that is, His hidden purpose and plan] is finished, as He announced the gospel to His servants the prophets.
The previous 7 trumpets herald the pouring out of judgement, which begs the question...
ARE YOU GOING TO BE RAPTURED?
(CAUGHT UP IN THE AIR) BEFORE THE TRIBULATION?
Well I have hope for you, even if you are not raptured, into the air. A careful reading of Micah chapter 7 will explain why. But yes some will escape this tribulation period. Read Chapter 3 of the book of Revelations regarding the church of Philadelphia.
The greek interlinier
shows that Philidelphia, because they kept His word of patient endurance, He would spare them from the time of trial which shall come upon the whole world.
So the catching up into the air seems to relate to the very end, immediately preceding the rule of Messiah:
Revelation 11:15 - Amplified Bible
Then the seventh angel sounded [his trumpet]; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom (dominion, rule) of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever."
THEN YESHUA HIMSELF SAYS, AS RECORDED IN MATTHEW 24
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
It is believed by many, myself included that Yeshua will return on or around this FEAST DAY OF TRUMPETS, some time in the not too distant future.
So the Bible speaks of two silver trumpets which are to be blown specifically on this feast, though also on other occasions like war or over sacrifices, which it says should be done by the sons of Aaron.
Like the blowing of a Ram’s horn relates to the blood, so the silver trumpets relate to the silver temple half shekel.
Exodus 30:12-13 NKJV
"When you take the census of the children of Israel for their number, then every man shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, that there may be no plague among them when you number them. This is what everyone among those who are numbered shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (a shekel is twenty gerahs). The half-shekel shall be an offering to the Lord.
(Lord here, insidently, as in other places if mostly mistranslated. Strongs says here it should read Yehovah.)
Language scholars, show connection of the words for "shekel" and the "pitch" of Noah’s Ark, Both relate to ATONEMENT.
So the blowing of the silver trumpets speak to me of both our atonement, salvation and protection, all by the blood of our saviour's sacrifice on the one hand, but also of a sounding of alarm, to be ready.
Joel 2:1 KJV
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
Let us then hear the warning of Yeshua himself:
Matthew 24:29-44 NKJV
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
According to Malachi He comes as a refiners fire: “as silver is refined”. We need to be ready also, as he comes this second time.
The Spirit of Elijah warned the people to be ready through John the Baptist.
Matthew 11:13-14 NKJV
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.
As John prepared the way, so the Spirit of Elijah will come to prepare the people again. And perhaps he will not be recognised when he comes any more than the first time, as without the words of Yeshua above, how many of us, would have seen Elijah preparing the way in John the Baptist.
Malachi 4:5-6 NKJV
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Yehovah (LORD). And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."
Malachi 3:1-2 NKJV
"Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming," Says the LORD of hosts. "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire And like launderers' soap.
He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; ...
He came the first time, as a baby, around September, which is actually around the Hebrew 7th month. My belief is that he was spot on time and that He will be spot on again, when the last trumpet sounds.
So I hope you can now see why I conclude that it is valuable to keep this feast given originally to Moses. It will soon be fulfilled for the second and last time, and as a feast has a compelling unfulfilled message for our future.
THE FEAST AS GIVEN TO MOSES
Leviticus 23:23-25 NKJV
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.'"
My study of the Hebrew word for memorial, shows that we should also MARK this day. The feast traditionally included a burnt offering, but Yeshua is, of course, our offering now.
So what will I do?
I will blow a trumpet as commanded, but leave the silver trumpet, as I am not a son of Aaron. I will MARK the day to remind me and all I can to be ready for the second coming, that whosoever will listen will not be surprised as “a thief in the night” and be caught in a state of unrepentant state. For why else would Yeshua himself have warned us, if that day could not catch us out as a thief in the night and the result be FATAL!
Lots of love to you who took the trouble to read to the end. May you be ready when he comes and may you even escape the trial that is coming on the world.
