The appointments or festivals of scripture are special to our Father and Saviour, because our saviour fulfilled the spring moedim of Passover, Leaven Bread and First Fruits, in His first coming, but has still to fullfill the last three fall feasts, in what many believe will be the very near future.
Yom Teruah, is iften called the "The Feast of Trumpets", even in the KJV it is headed as such, but is not one of the three feasts mentioned in Exodus 23.and nothing is mentioned in Leviticus 23 regarding feasting:
Lev 23:23 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Lev 23:24 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
Lev 23:25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.' (Actually Sacred name in original manuscript)
As we will see later, this then somewhat mysterious feast is really a prophetic feast about being ready befire the return if Messiah. is it just fir Israelites or Jews?
As believers, according scripture, in Ephesians, we are all adopted into the commonwealth of Israel, so I hope that we will not be sleeping, but all getting out our shofars and keeping this appointed time.
Yahushua, could very well return on this particular moed or appointed time , of which no man actually knows the day or hour! It happenes that there is cloud in Jerusalem this year, that may mean it is "biblically speaking" delayed, though Jews tend to keep a fixed day by tradition.! Biblically, you need to see the new moon as instructed.
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
We must all be carrying His fruit, being ready when He comes like a thief in the night!
I hope also that you will take note of what I have to share with you. You guessed it, I am sure: A new Like A Bird In A Tree Song, to the glory or our King, from Chapter 15 of the book of Revelation, as well as the actual text regarding the keeping of the feast from Leviticus Chapter 23.
